With the arrival of summer and good weather, the concerts start to proliferate through the Spanish geography and Bilbao has become one of the key centres of this tendency. With its well known BBK LIVE FESTIVAL, which it will take place on the 4th, 5th and 6th of July at the Kobetamendi arena located in the outskirts of the city, Bilbao wants to become the reference point thanks to a roster filled with the best music groups of the moment. Our Sanish language students will have special offers to go to the Festival.
This year, the program is going to be an exceptional one:
On Friday, July 4th, the audience will be able to enjoy the performance of The Police, which according to the Rolling Stone magazine, the group is going to be retiring in that same month. In addition, there are also going to be the performances of The Dandy Warhols, The Charlatans, Morcheeba, The Wombats, The Gift, and Fancy & Gari.
On Saturday, July 5th, it is scheduled to perform one of the top bands from the international scene, R.E.M, and with the release of their latest album Accelerate, they arrive in Bilbao with a more rocker sound. Another one of the festival’s “hot dishes” is, without a doubt, Lenny Kravitz, who returns to the international scene after 4 years of silence. On the same day, The Prodigy, The Raveonettes, Krakovia, Hotel Persona, and Dynamo will also be playing.
On the festival’s last day, on Sunday July 6th, and if there’s still some energy left, the performances will be in charge of Tequila, Madness, ZZ Top, Riders on the Storm, The Blues Brothers Band, and Quique Gonzales y la Aristocracia del Barrio.
The roster is not yet finalized as there are still more bands to confirm.
The festival’s arena will be divided into 3 different areas. In one part, there are going to be two main stages, and at another part there is going to be a tents area – DJ’s. The doors will open during the concert’s dates (4th, 5th, and 6th of July) at 4:00 PM. The camping area will be available starting at 12:00 PM (noon) on Thursday, July 3rd, until 2:00 PM on Monday, July 7th.
There are different admissions options:
-Admission for the three days altogether: 165 Euros
